The purpose of this lab exercise is to gain familiarity
with a variety of lab equipment.

Steps of the experiment:

1.  Acquire 1.5g of Levulose
(sugar)



2.  Stir together Levulose and
water.  Add Benedict's solution.






3.  Pour into a test tube and place
in a hot water bath.







4.  Observe as the color changes
from blue to green, yellow,
orange, and brown.











5.  Filter the solution through a
filtration apparatus.






6.  Observe the separation of
solid and liquid.
